    Love is a beautiful moment

    1–2 minutes

Take time to simply enjoy the moment. It won’t last.

Instead of becoming pessimistic, anxious, or unequal to a theoretical future please attempt to forgive yourself.

If you can defer and relax at this moment, you may enjoy it fully. You do not need to deconstruct it or make sense out of it, it will make sense out of itself.

It will become love by you being in it.

    can you live without attachment?

    1–2 minutes

If you love to have your desires fulfilled, you will never be satiated. Humans are desiring machines, designed to want more, crave the chase, and never be fulfilled.

Your only chance to be satisfied is to re-wire your desire.

Extended to love: can you love without reciprocity? Is it possible to be fulfilled without receiving in return? If you can rewire your attachment to your own fulfillment, life can be full of love.

    Educating out relationships

    1–2 minutes

Education today requires leaving, learning to speak in abstract idioms, which transmutes us into relating differently.

When you return home you no longer speak in the specific particulars (concrete examples) of your family and early social circle.

To become abstract means it grows increasingly hard to care for those you care about.

to kill romances is to understand

    1–2 minutes

Love… if we are desiring machines, if that is what makes us as individual subjects, our desire, then if you fulfill your desire, you must desire anew to continue being you.

Without desire “you” would disintegrate, so never fulfill your desire, maintain it in it’s mystery and unfulfilled state: to kill romances is to understand.

    gravity of love

    1–2 minutes

People fall into love. People fall out of love.It is an irresistible physics, yet a continual downward trajectory.
The inevitable nature of both implies something beyond control. An undeniable force acts upon you, leaving you to deal with the consequences.

    the price of love

    1–2 minutes

The price of "love" is to have your dysfunction soothed, which is temporary at best.
The delusion is to think love has a price: Love is enjoying being in someone’s presence without needing anything in return.

    Forgetting to love yourself

    1–2 minutes

You can say you love yourself and forgive yourself, but there still is a knot of depression or tightness within you.

It can only be relieved of its oppositional threat within yourself by accepting and befriending it: by loving the depression.

To tell your depression you are their friend and will hold their hand is much more potent (realistic) than trying to expel it.

    oh my God, smell this!

    1–2 minutes

Our desire to share pain as a bonding experience is baffling.

Our communal agreement in the awfulness is itself awful.

And yet I am grateful for people who will let me explain my pain; for those who will commiserate and agree.

    Self-sufficient from love

    1–2 minutes

The problem with being self-sufficient is that you teach yourself never to ask for help. Pretty soon, you never ask for anything.

The problem is, how do you teach someone how to love you when you don’t share or even talk?

  • Theme:

your choice to care is the love you seek

    1–2 minutes

We seek to receive love. Instead, choose to care deeply and prioritize another: in giving love, you have the love you desire without demanding anything in return.
