Establishing a goal and aiming for it is admirable, but the Kantian/Euclidean path ignores the embodied process of change that occurs.
Instead a goal is a field that grows seeds, allowing us to tend to (and react to) changes over time.

To achieve your potential, we assume that you add actions, but more often the hardship is in destroying the limits preventing you from attaining your peak self.
These can be external resistance or internal demons you overcome. Once sloth, gluttony, or procrastination are removed, the achievement is foregone.

We all live this bizarre way: we have encoded responses that attract and manifest reality.
These behavior patterns, or dance steps, are lifelong coping mechanisms that play out subconsciously.
The question isn’t "do you believe you manifest your reality" but "can you change your dance to create something different?"

When you look out across nature and see rooftops sprouting amongst the trees, do you think of humans as cancer or plague spreading across the land, or do you marvel at our productive capacity?
Two generations ago, the production and growth of humanity were celebrated marvels. Today we are appalled at our escalating proliferation.
Within another two generations, we must regulate for equilibrium. This is only possible if our species can transcend its parasitic childhood.

To be curious about the anomaly requires us to spend time and effort studying what does not fit in. Our fixation is disruptive to the standard ways of thinking.
Most people don’t want new ways of thinking or unique insight: we want stability. Even when presented with a new truth, we graft it onto our old ideas, slightly expanding our worldview without having to rethink or dismiss our intuitive normalcy.

The form is subject to the law (a set of agreed restrictions), which determines its shape and reactions.
To identify with the form (the shape) is to become bound to its laws.
In being "you," you bind yourself to consistency: a form of "you" with a set of laws.
Yet the world is a process of change, and to become the form is to calcify the self and cease being aware of the world, lest it disrupts your formation.

In several concerts I have attended, the audience is bombarded with palpable, pummeling sounds, and the lights are shifted from the band members into the audience.
The pulsing retina attack makes the band unobservable, faded to black amidst an after-image glow sliding across your field of vision.
This obscuration of the band’s image in favor of committing soft violence to the audience feels like revenge. And it appears to have taken its toll as the audience stumbles forth from the venue, having paid to be made into twitching, blinking, deaf, and vacant fans.
