    No problem gets solved until the last minute. Up to the deadline people freely offer feedback and concerns, criticisms. But in the last hour they abdicate responsibility and criticality, tending to become suddenly otherwise occupied, especially if pushed to expound or do actual work.
    Knowing this, you can use it to your advantage to strengthen social alliances and become the hero rather than being repeatedly upset at the folly of it all.

    Be complex, not complicated

    An old watch is complicated, but open it up and you can see the gears and (maybe) figure out how it works. Remove a gear and it no longer functions.

    A complex system has many interlocking variables, take one out and something else will replace it, making it a robust, dynamic system. Cascades of unforeseen consequences create change.

    You can have a good day, even when it begins poorly; more profoundly, maybe the only way to have a good day is to face a challenge first.

    Our life is challenge, it is problem solving; without it we would have no purpose. So, approach it well.
