The ironist’s delimma (resisting the final vocabulary)

Solidarity grows elusive amid hyper-individualism and eroded truths.

True irony demands a stance—an origin to resist from—a "final vocabulary" as Rorty would say. Without it, irony collapses into nihilism.

The ironist, perhaps still innocent, seeks meaning without bitterness, resisting alienation with wit and wounded hope, pressing toward a language capable of forging common ground.

To do so, one must question/deconstruct the "final vocabulary," which presents a paradox: a common ground denuded of common communication (common sense), leaving no place to be ironic from. And so, a new final vocabulary is re-forged, re-ironized into collapse, and begun again.
