Declarative pointing says “Let us consider this.”
Interestingly, Chimpanzees can point imperatively, but only humans point declaratively and share their attention of the world. We work together to shape how we see the world.

Random cruelties befall us, dissuading us from our passions and dreams. The dark nudges push us into hiding and sheltering: a contracted life of self-protection.
The more you create the more you engage with the world, and the more interactions you have: both good and bad. Don’t be nudged into the cave of security, reorient to the joy of adventure.

It is tempting to become all object or all subject: the object lets the world shape them, while the overly subjective treats all others as objects.
Yet, the path according to Simone de Beauvoir, is to embrace an Ethics of Ambiguity: realizing that all binaries hold their opposite within them, and values come from our difficult choices.
