“nature” is not natural

Nature is a concept that needs to be clarified.

If nature exists outside of areas man has civilized, then it is an artificial notion of otherness (an alien space to which we visit.) Extended, we are not natural but temporary inhabitants keeping nature at bay.

It has colonial roots and enlightenment germination and harbors the seeds of bad faith, yet it is still the soil from which we derive sustenance.
