The idea that transparency leads to truth feels reasonable, and yet transparency blocks action and stifles individuation. It may have little to do with truth.
On transparency in society: Consider that any group debate leads to deadlock or a schism, as ego/reputation posturing (due to social alignment) outweighs reasonableness, which can be cast aside in private.
Some things should remain private and personal, without disclosure, to maintain functionality.
Much more so with intimacy, as complete openness steals the mystery that maintains attraction.
Moreover, complete transparency might require complete alignment: no wrong thoughts that produce the slightest difference that allows unique individuality.
Now, counterintuitively, the person who claims to be transparent by incessantly talking is not open, but produces a cloud of obfuscation to block their deeper self from revelation. The completely transparent man casts no shadow, has no depth, is in essence absent.
As such, consider that truth is not transparent full knowing, but a profound mystery of which we have a quite a few facts and yet scant understanding; this is its allure.
